Many years ago mankind sought wisdom but science promised so much that man became godlike. Man could push a button and become the destroyer of worlds. Man became truth, the true God was not needed anymore and metaphysics gave way to facts. let us survey the facts...
But unfortunately these facts keep turning out to be psedo-facts. Karl Marx said: " So far philosophers have merely interpreted the world in various ways; it is necessary to change it."
Human beings changed the world in the past 100 years and mostly with the technology of their boot on heads of their brothers and sisters. Technology has also been a fantastic blessing but without charity and peace the poor souls in the slums of Calcutta miss out on the life saving machines of science and mathematics.
We harness the atom to power our machines and our scientist tell us it is safe and the people of Japan are posioned for a second time since the war to end all wars came to an end. Science needs the wisdom of the holy ones. Pray for our friends in Japan and for our own rediscovery of the relm of the science before science and contemplate the mind of God.
